The Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division has won an order worth about two hundred million for eleven 132 kV Gas-insulated (GIS) Substations from Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), strengthening its partnership with this key client and any consolidating efforts for the "go green" movement. Sensible Grids 2009 will get together senior executives from Asian power generation, transmission and distribution firms to discuss modernization of the electricity transmission in their countries. Positioned as a premier event among the Singapore International Week, Smart Grids will bring together representatives from the electricity and machinery to see what they can do foster the movement to more efficient electricity usage.
